Hiiiiii all;

Kudos to Binoy Thomas & Ami I have been following the threat of Ami very seriously..... And I have booked Swift VDI (the white beast Cool) And till I read Ami's fourm I dont have any idea about the ICE set up... We do have a Wagonr and I simply put 2 sony speakers and tweeters on front and 2 Daweoo ovals on rear on a tray. Also used sony xplod as HU. However now I want something serious 2 my Swift. But after reading all this I am bit confused, to which 1 to select.. In my mind I do have 1 configuration. Please let me know is that good one along with latest  prices in kerala (I'm from Cochin).

HU pioneer 6050 (2 din)

Front JBL components  JBL GTO608c

Rear JBL GTO 948 on tray  (the shop guy infromed me this is the latest of 947)

JBL 2 channel amplifer and JBL bass tube.

Is that enough?? The shop guy also infomed me that 1 amplifier named Convex is avilable and it is a good one, is that true? Also Should I go with Damping??? He infromed me for that it costs 6000 Rs.

Hi,

I don't have much knowdege about the ICE setup but recently i checked the prices,  this is for your referenece. all prices are with bill and warrnaty.

JBL 608 component is avaialbe in 4000

JBL 947 / 48 is avaiable in 3200 approx,  not sure about the current prices.

Why you are going to install 2 ch Amp. ,  4 ch is some what avaiable in 5.5k + you need the cable ... and JBL is around 1600/-

I am suggesting you to install 4 components all and give the power through Amp.

You can select the HU from JBL,  Pioneer is good but i don't think now CD player is required for playing the music.

all the best.

@ Rakesh

Thanks Buddy I am planning to install 4 channel amplifier.  So In rear also I need to install Componets right? Also is it have to be installed on MDF plank? or on rear stock on doors? However as I have gone throgh the posts of my hero in ICE Ami (ya I really meant it wat a thread was it. Awesome will be the right word. Along with the guide lines of Binoy. I envy you man for getting such a support and advice in making the dream car a masterpiece. Cool  ) they used ovals in rear. So is Components really necessay? Also I need to know about the amplifier brand convex.

Generally when you install components and giving power through Amp.,  you get great sound,  when you require high pitch sound,  you can install 947/ 48 speakers.

I am suggesting you to install all 4 components in doors.  as per Ami suggestion go some high power components Polk in front doors.

When JBL Amp is available in lesser price, why you are looking towards non branded.

I am using JBL 4 ch. Amp.  I found the good one.  Install JBL cable kit only,  it is the best one available.
