hi vehicle owners

i read somany comments about nitogen air. iam a tyre dealer valanchery, malappuram dist.we also serve nitrogen air.in my opinion it is better you fill nitrogen when you buy new tyres.somany advantages it have, your tyre will not get hot like normal air ,inside the tyre the normal air will get heated due to the presence of moisture inthe normal air,but nitogen air not containing moisture ,so heats sloly.that increases the life of tyre and tube .it smoothense the driving.i remember before 3 mnths i read in a news paper that ksrtc last year  used 2000 tyres, by filling nitrogen it gained some and only used1300 tyres same period, i dont it is true or not.but one thing i can say it has nitrogen air has somany advantages. somany my customers told me that they are geting milage, smooth driving, no air leakage only checking in once in 3 mnths, like more you want to know please write

In the meantime, till Alsalam replies, you may go through the discussions in this thread.  It covers almost all aspects.

About two weeks back, I got it done for Rs 250 - all tyres(including spare) deflated & re-filled with nitrogen.

The charge (Rs.50/- per tyre) is quite high - it needs to come down to half at least.  I too have filled the tyres (again) with Nitrogen recently. Was charged Rs.200/- for 5 tyres - say, free for the spare.

Sandesh, please do observe the change in the behaviour etc. and share your experience here in this thread. Take your time.

Pankaj did you feel any difference in the ride quality after getting the tyre filled with nitrogen or is the effect only psychological?

As far I understood that the tyres are filled with say may be 90 % Nitrogen not 100% since it is derived from the air and then filled. So is filling it worth the exercise and the cost?

Proper procedure of filling nitrogen. I don't know how many can do this.

Step 1 - Defalte the tyre with is filles with normal air.

Step 2 - Refill it with nitrogen.

Step 3 - Deflate it again.(This is to remove any remaining molecules of normal air)

Step 4- Refill with nitrogen.

Recommend Use of Nitrogen.

Ranjan, I've actually filled Nitrogen for the second time.  I've shared my observations/ experiences before - have a look.  The views/comments from others have made the discussion quite interesting.  Please go through those.

Pankaj, luckily at Coimbatore nitrogen filling is done free at selected Indianoil pumps! Laughing

That's not fair. Lol.

I wish it is so everywhere.  The cost of Nitrogen should definitely come down - else it will remain not-so-popular.
