Hello Everybody,
I wanted to buy a car between range of 6 to 6.5 Lakhs. I liked Indigo Marina LX. But, bit confused with the launch of the new Indigo Marina DICOR. Can anyone please tell me the major differences between the two cars. Is it wise to go for the new DICOR version which costs a 50K more? Please suggest.

Also, suggest me a car around this range with good mileage, space, performance, and good features.

You should condsider the Ford Fusion as it comes in your price budget. It is a very competent handler, though the 1.6liter engine is not exactly fuel efficient.

The Marina is a good value buy. You get a lot of space, and a diesel, for similar money, but you should expect to be more careful about service and maintenance, and not expect too much driving pleasure. I found handling to be better than the Indigo and that might be because of a better rear suspension.

The DiCor version removes the one problem with the old technology IDI engine - the sluggishness at lower RPMs in the city. It also has smoother response. One would have expected better fuel efficiency but I know one person who bought a DiCor Indigo and said that this version actually returns worse FE figures. But is the DiCor work Rs. 50K more? I dont think so. You might be better off bargaining a good discount on the IDI/TDI. especially if you plan to hire a driver and relax in the back seat yourself
