so my question is what would be beneficial (as in d car wid d best options)?? cng or lpg or pulsar 220 which gulps down 65.08 bucks for goin 35.18 km...

first on i am a total novice when u talk about cng and lpg coz i dnt knw nethin.so keepin it simple plz suggest the best alternative for me.

Buying car in place of bike doesn't make sense. Car doesn't go to small and crowdy place(market). Secondly, how low the mileage of bike, the overall expense of car will be higher than that of bike. In Brief: CAR doesn't fulfill all purpose of BIKE, so is the revese true.

Your travel / Month is 1500 KM so petrol car wont do good for you. Diesel will be above your budget so think again before you do anything.

@blessed: wel come to carwale. Against Bike any good 800 availabel at 80K with an additional appx 30K for CNG , is an only option I find or else you should go for a Bike. You can not compair bike to cars. 2nd Hand car with CNG will certainly require much additional maintainance. Please be prepaired for the same. Zen @ 80K I am not sure if you can get in good condition.

I opted for 800 as expect a car in good condition to Alto or Zen with your budget. You can always upgrade.

All the best.

Subhajit,

Go with a 2nd hand diesel car with good mileage.

2nd hand Logan sould be a very good option. It gives 18kmpl in city & 21 kmpl on highways

Good Luck

Shubhajit, I would recommend a diesel car or a hatch, like the swift or the figo. Our swift did 92000kms till date and that too, in a period of three years approx. No maintenance except regular servicing and wear and tear parts. I would definitely recommend it to you. However, if you are seeking for the current trend, you can look at the Figo and the upcoming Beat diesel. In bangalore, only LPG is available. MOreover, it is not as good in terms of maintenance and performance compared to a diesel. Hence, you can consider these options.
