Did you happen to copy/paste them from word? If yes then this sometimes creates problems while rendering.

Its probably a browser or network latency issue. It could also be the rich edit box (the one used to type in replies). Sometimes when you hit the spackebar key the page gets posted instead of just a space getting typed in the box.
