Normally, a left side tire car be shifted to the right side. In Rotational tires, it is not possible.

They are also a bit noisy. But, they deliver performance, what they are meant for.

Aman, what do you mean by 'rotational'? Is it 'directional' or asymmetric tread tyres? If so, I don't think this is a big disadvantage. Most high performance tyres have asymmetric tread.

Sshresh, I got this crazy idea - how about you swapping out your 165/80/R14 to me (for pittance, of course!) and going on with the 185 tread width tyres you want? My vehicle has stock tyres 175/65/R14. I am thinking of putting thinner tyres to get better FE. Your stock tyres may just work! Let me know.

Irrespective of the above crazy stuff, you can rely on Bridgestone Potenza GIII or Touranza S60 (quoting from memory, please reconfirm). Michelin XM1+ are also good tyres.

EDIT: Read the first page only before posting. Aman has confirmed the 'rotational' part. My comment regarding the same stays unchanged.

Rotational means directional. There's an arrow embedded on the tire sidewall. It is possible to move left side tire to right side but, for that the tire needs to be replaced from rim again.
