Hi Members,

I  booked Wagon - R CNG last month and waiting period is around 1-2 months for car delivery.

Today dealer guy called me and said Maruthi prices are increasing about 2% after budget ( around 12-15 K increased cost compared with initial estimations) and suggested to take a new car before budget. They have got 2 cars with Black color but my choice is grey.

Any body have information on the price hike ?

- Thanks

Hi Krishna Kumar,

Welcome to carwale. Which city are you from? Please check and make sure that the cars available with the delaer are 2011 make, they might be trying to sell 2010 stock vehicles. Regarding the price hike, yes all delaers are saying that there will be a price hike of about 2% most probably by the first week of March( If the budget is out by then).

Be sure of your choice coz once made it might be too late to change it...

This is a usual gimmick and also, the dealer is trying to force you to buy the black car which hasnt been sold for quite a while. Hence refuse this offer. Also threaten the dealer that if he does not get you the car you wanted, you may approach another dealer for the same. THis will get him on track

@shyam - I am from Secunderabad. I have checked with the dealer, the car make is 2011. But no other colors are avaiable at moment except black, obviously which is not my choice

@Sankalp, I agree with your comment. I called up the dealer and confirmed I am going to stick to my grey color choice.

Hi Members,

I  booked Wagon - R CNG last month and waiting period is around 1-2 months for car delivery.

I think in Hyderabad - Secunderabad have very few CNG stations,  even i saw only one near ranigunj ,  really you booking WagonR - CNG.  or its LPG ?

I don't think there is price increase,  I read here that soon importead car have price reduction around 30% due to import policy.  if it true than there is no chance to increase excise duty for cars.  So no price increase for sure..

All the best.

its CNG only. There is one more CNG gas station in Uppal which near to my house.

regarding car hikes, do you mean incase the import duty is reduced, it will also affect on the prices for indian made cars as some of the parts are imported from other countries ? Esp Wagon R ?

Which parts in a wagonR are imported? I feel it is totally Indian if not for some components like may be the Airbag or ABS module. Can someone throw light on the localisation?

I told you not going to increase the prices for Indian Cars, that is for sure,  if import duty redused.

it is directly connected to import duty Vs Excise Duty.  I don't think so that Sardar Ji will increase the Excise duty to kill there Ind. after redusing the import duty.  cool naa.

Yes, it is a chance to reduse the prices than Increase, if Import duty is redused,  Govt. will pass some benifit in form of Excise Duty / Taxes to Indian Manufactures.

All the best.
