I have purchased a Maruti Swift in Baroda this year and would be moving to Navi mumbai soon. I would like to clarify the following :

1. I understand that the RTO  registration charges are 7% of the Invoice value of the vehicle? is there any 'cess' involved?
2. Is there any Octroi to be paid for the car (I would be registering it in Navi mumbai)
3.Is there any sales tax implication?
4. Is there any other tax to be paid for registering the vehicle in Navi Mumabai?

I would be very greatful for the reply of the above queries...

1. I don't think, there is any cess here in Navi Mumbai.
2. No, there are no octroi charges.
3. Nope.
4. No, just the road-tax, 7%. Nothing else. There might be an expenditure of up to 2,000 rupees for registration formalities.

I have a car that I want to sell in Mumbai. It was registered in the municiple limits of (Octroi paid) different city in Maharashtra. The car is five years old. How much octroi will the buyer need to pay for registering it in Mumbai ? How the octroi amount will be calculated ? i.e. on the basis of the cost of sale or any other standard formula ?

I don't think we need to pay Octroi/Entry Tax twice within the same state.

I have two queries

1. What is RTO charges in Anand, Gujarat. I am planning to buy Beat 1.2 LS with exshowroom price 379,644. The dealer is asking for RTO 21,808 and handling and Log 3500.

I am just wondering are these figure correct or inflated?I would appreciate a quick response as I am planning to but this month end or early next month.

2. What are the standard accessories available with the Beat LS 1.2? I guess Antenna (FM) and footmat should be free. dealer is asking us to buy 18,000 accessory pack and these two are included in the list.

does dealer have margin in RTO dealing as well.
