Used 2003 Toyota Corolla : Mp3 not reading.

Hi guys,

i have bought a used 2003 toyota corolla H2, Its in dash original audio system is not playing mp3. Any ideas?

Does it play discs of other formats properly (i.e., without too much delay after inserting the disc or any other tell-tale abnormalities)? Are the MP3 discs made by you or factory made? If you have made the discs then are the MP3 files on an ordinary CD-R or DVD-R? If its the latter, chances are that the car's audio system is not made to work with DVDs (if it supports DVDs then should play movies as well).

i tried Mp3...AUDIO CD but no response...it behave's like it's reading but after some time it eject CD..

ya i made the discs(mp3, audio)..but not successful...it does not support DVDs

and on the face of th headunit it was wrtiten COMPACT DISC DIGITAL AUDIO....what does it means?????

Well to me it looks like the HU is not able to read the disc - the pick-up lens may be dirty or burnt out.

COMPACT DISC DIGITAL AUDIO - basically means that it is meant to play standard audio CDs (not MP3 or other formats).

day before yesterday i went to Toyota service centre...and they said that 2003 model doesn't support mp3 format ....it'll play only audio cd's...
