Pl. share your views. Is it practical / possible? Since its a Hydrogen based - it seems to be eco-friendly. Too fishy to believe?Wink

Hi Manoj - 14 or 9 doesn't matter.

I think its the eternal dream of mankind to have the best fuel in world at dirt cheap price. So sometimes we do imagine such things. I frankly don't think its going to happen and if at all it happens, it will be in FY: 2050!!!!

OT:

That reminds me the news I read in TOI - Mumbai edition - every 6 months or so - on front page.

Bullet Train to run between - Mumbai - Ahmdebad or Nagpur or XYZ . Everybody knows its a distant dream - at least for the Indians. We know it needs a dedicated track, which may be possible but very very difficult to build (getting clearances from 10000 depts) and then to maintain it.  Then the stoppages between 2 stations should be - lets say - 100kms. And we know every politician on every 10kms will need a stop of this train at their respective station. In short its not going to happen. But that doesn't stop TOI to print the 'news' on front page every 6 months.

To the world it will be equivalent to Rs. 14/litre...but for us it will still sell at more than Rs. 30/litre given the kind of system we have where everyone that comes between the petrol and the common man will want to have his share of money.

THAT, if at all this artificial petrol materialises in India...

Agree with you Rohit. Given the Tax structure here we may face the situation.

I found one more thread is going on the same subject. I think you can merge them.

Methane for free - just collect it from cattle and make a business case out of it!

Please don't pay attention to rumors like topic of the thread. If there is such a thing, we will be waay last to know it, first to latch on to it will be the oil companies, who will seek to level the pricing field somehow, and we will get only watered down benefits.

Don't get your hopes high, is the advice!
