Puneet , One of my friend had cancelled its booking . Second don't get carried away by 22 lacs price . In fact fully loaded version is almost 35 lacs on road . By no means it is cheap. Add 5 lacs more & one can get 5 series . It is 3 series inside but seats are not very comfortable & most irritating is - diesel noise . Just check it . At this price point there are few good options available . So X1 is really a bad choice . Just because it is from BMW is not enough . And I had driven it for 10 mins !! Why one would spend close to 35 lacs for such car ?

Ashiah, This is what my point was from the very start and everyone got after my life. Thank you so much for agreeing with the my comments.

I thin BMW cam up with the base price of 22L just to remain number one otherwise BMX X1 is a shame in itself.

But trust me this is going to be sensation. This will become the next "DAHEJ" car and rich brat car.

I have seen a few on delhi roads and all of them turned out to be the base model.

So this will sell only for B M Double U....

thanks

You cant pay for carrots and take away apples.

If you feel X1 top end is to go for, take that.

A person who cannot afford top end will be happy to own a BMW by purchasing a Base Model. It will be value for money for him.

Now thinking the Base Model will be "Dahej Car" doesnt suit our language....

You own a 5 Series is a good thing... enjoy it. Also, you are free to comment that its not a good gar in terms of noise / space etc etc

But for the comments of "its a shame".........

BMW DNA is a drivers car / safe / performance etc etc.... so if it suffice that... its fine...

A person enjoying Bentley / RR will feel 5 Series not sufficient.... but even he should not comment that "5 series is a shame"

Every vehicle has a target audience / users - so please avoid personal comments....

By the way, I own a self purchased Maruti Esteem VXi - and am proud of the performance / mileage etc etc with due respects to all other vehicles.

Theres always a better vehicle.....

I think there is no point getting personal . We are here to discuss car & all cars have their pros & cons . I think main part here is - VALUE , nothing else . One may find it VFM & one may not .

Confused between an Outlander and X1, but snob value is something which just cannot get out of mind, also when one invest some amount you think of resale value (though not planning to sell but value is something to consider), Outlander commands NIL resale value while X1 has the BMW resale value which almost do not depreciate for 3 years at least, so that is another factor to consider while tilting the needle to X1

BMW is a great manufacturer because of its reliable products but you should really be wise in purchasing one. Choose what suits best to your needs and purposes without sacrificing all you savings. Last year, BMW showed off the i8, a gorgeous concept car going to production among the first plug-in hybrids from BMW. A convertible edition, the i8 Spyder, was recently shown off at the Beijing Auto Show. With the right auto loan financing, you may be able to snatch up an i8 Spyder pretty quickly.
