With 40 km per day u can opt for petrol version....Any day swift is a better car than Indica V2 in al the departments(not sure abt. Boot space)
yes not only boot space but overall space too...dats d ONLY area wher the Swift gets lesser points than the Indica...

With just 40 KMs a day, you can look at the Indica v2 Xeta as that is available at a great price point. I agree with the observations of the other readers that Swift is technically the better car, but it comes at a significantly higher price point. I have been driving an India v2 DLS for over 4 years and I'm very satisfied with thsi car. The driving might not be as smooth as the Swift, but hey the price is right.
Diesel wud still be better than the Xeta....Xeta is the FLop car of the yr !!...n i guess it'll get this award twice in a row.....(2006-07)..

I dont agree with Karan ?& Sahil that Xeta is a failure.

It is a VFM car in the petrol segment.

Maybe that is true, you do have some peculiar problems in some of the cars which even the service people cannot handle.

i am planning to buy a diesel car.... i drive around 40 kms per day mainly on highway... comfort & economy is most important...

Hullo Ravi this is SRI here,
according to me the TATA motors will soon bring out the Next version INDICA with all new Facelift and new Engine(probably thee DICOR) and its now its not the right time to go in for Indica Diesel so a swift LDi makes sure sense. the waiting perioed for LDi is around 1 and half months. and by then if Indica New facelift comes have a look at it and if u dont want swift cancel it.
Regards-
SRI, MANGALORE
