Hi Guys.. Hi Karan....

Very impressive commenst bro, you really have good knowledge... well I too need your help now...

I have Fluidic Verna, till date I was quite happy with below stuff in my sx4...

Pioneer HU, Kicker Door speakers, JBL Ovals, 2 Alpine Amps, JBL Wiring, Pioneer DVC...

Now am looking to upgrade all this with something much better for Verna...

Am looking for the amps first, after lil bit of reserach, I decided to go for JBL GTO1004 4ch amp and Sony XMGTR3301D mono for the sub... all ths in 16k (10+6k)... 2nd step is to change JBL Ovals with FOCAL 690CA1 150 rms (6k).. thats the plan... not using kickers in Verna and Pioneer HU... using Verna's HU and don't wish to change as of now... Pls suggest me best amps or if above selection is good enough or not... Also read ur comments on the FOCAL Solid 4, will find out about FOCAL too but i guess in power its less then JBL GTO1004... Pls suggest asap bro!!

Hi Kunal .. For 16k you can get a JBL GTO1004 and a Infinity Reference 1260w woofer which is miles ahead of sony xplod any day and more vfm as well ...

focal solid 4 is also quite good but the prces hve increased a lot so it alone will cost you 17k as of now

i suggest you get some nice component speakers as well for the front. that will really improve the sound of the setup .. you can always add rear speakers at a later stage ...

if possbile, change the Head Unit to something better as the stock HU has limited possibilities of adding amplifiers and speakers etc

hi guys ,,, hi karan..

only couple of weeks back stared my rsearch on ICE .wow to my surprise this thread is one stop for all the knowledge required to have upper hand before going to a dealer.

though i dint get the technical discussion , atelast got good insight of brands and their credibility .

first week dint understand any terminology when i wen tot get quote for 2 din .

i am getting skoda rapid next week(ambition - without audio)

i would like to got for a decent quality sound system. i dont want amp or sub woofer.

from the two weeks i though would go for 2 din with bluetooth ,ipod iphone coonectivity, rvercamera.

front component speakers and rear oval co axial.

my budget would be 40k.

90% dealers suggested pioneer (infact they were degradng any other brands which i thgt were far better (kenwood, blaunpunk)

not sure why they were so insisting on pioneer and jbl spearkeer combinaions.

i can live without gps as well.

but did come across one model motevo -32k (with BT,GPS,DVD,USB,IPHONE)- not sure how good it is .in the box they have mentione OEM for VW.

i love the display and features , but not very sure with the brand name and quality.

i would like to get your suggestion on this HU , how important is the HU in contributing to the quality of sound.

i would  also like to get your suggestiones for fron and rear speakers.i felt rockford fosgate, jbl,jl,polk.were good(have audioted even one yet(no one like to show even a demo)

Hi Arun

looking at your requirement, i would suggest you to got for JVC KD-AVX846 for around 21k

it gives you all the features you are looking for and the sound quality as well which the new gen pioneer are not at all capable of

add a pair of component speakers up front and co-axial in the rear for around 10k to 12k more and you're good to go

Hi Karan, thanks for the reply dude.. JBL GTO1004 has been discontunied... couldnt find it anywhere.. any idea if I could get 2nd hand somehwere? its a good amp with good looks, and the latest model is more powerful but not good looks-wise..

Latest is JBL GTX646 and mrp.8,990... woofer i dont need as i have pioneer premier dvc 400 rms... For this sub am thinking about gettin mono, sony mono am getting from the distributor directly @ 6k with bill...

JBL mono GTO3001 is for 11k mrp... could get it somehwere close to 9k...

Still searchin for the JBL distributor in delhi... what do u say? should i go for sony mono or jbl? I guess i know the answer.. ;)

Focal Solid 4 is very expensive and less in RMS... guess JBL is better...

Which comps would u suggest me for my Verna? tell me cheap and best with model number pls...

But do u think i still need the comps as am putting FOCAL's 150rms Ovals..?

Will change the head unit after some time, i do have pioneer USB dolphin display model with me... but can't use it in verna, as there's no space for any JUGAAD...

I was using it in my sx4 with jugaad... but no such jugaad in Verna... bad luck...

Could you show me some of your car/system videos?

front speakers- 4'' sony

I bougth this car just a day back...even tried playing music system...music quality is fine.

I need ur help here what if I put a woofer and an amp here to inhance the quality of music.

I think it will be a good setup if I install an an amp and a woofer. I may be wrong u can corect me.

I have a budget of 15k for now. What do u suggest which woofer and amp would be better compatible with setup.

Hi Manu,

Go for Alpine - AMP, Sub-woofer & Speakers you can take JBL. Real value for money with v good sound quality.

Go for front Comp series, 400W rear speakers & 1200W Sub woofer. This will be a fludic dance floor.

Cheers,

Karthik
