Seriously... it's a bouncer for me too.

Regarding school/college, Well.... I was seldom allowed in the class - the popular joke on me those days was.... "Pankaj se jayada Pankaj ke father ki attendance hai" (he was so often called for).  So forget science, I didn't even know the other subjects well

That's a nice site - really funny; have added to my favourites - will go through it fursatse.

Oh yes, he really looks like you - I just compared it with your profile photo.

Or may be, it's you - you know better

But quite possible - I remember... you are in modelling. Right?

There is a new poser; Industrial needs convert the LPG into a heating media. The LPG is indirectly heated by passing it in coils immersed in Hot water. The vapourised LPG is then used to fire a " Hot water generator", and other applications.

There are flow meters installed to measure this heated LPG at various user points. The cumulative flow at maximum draw is @ 200 LPM ( Mind well it is heated due to passing in coils immersed in Hot water, and is already released form the storage cylinder - thus it is not under pressure )

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CALCULATE THE KG WEIGHT OF THIS LPG, WHICH IS MEASURED IN LPM, SO THAT THE ASSESMENT OF THE AVAILABLE LPG CAN BE DONE IN ADVANCE BASED ON THE LPM DRAWN ?

@ Karan, so.... thanks to the above quoted post/"bouncer".  We shared some lighter moments about school/college - hope others too may have enjoyed it.  By the way, I was otherwise very sharp & didn't allow my studies to suffer ultimately.  But I could have done much better had I been more serious like my children are.

And.... in the process, it was a pleasant surprise to learn about your modelling assingment - a proud moment indeed for all of us.  A BIG cheers for that

Now, coming back on the subject matter... let's try & gather some info on the "bouncer" & post it here.  Right?

In the meantime... we hope Banwari, Vidhur or someone else may be able to throw some light on it.

what i understand is you want to mesure the weight of lpg passing ..simple collect the gas in the container and measure the weight repeat the process for 'x' time  and take out the mean reading by dividing the sum of readings  by 'x'

we need some more data for calculation as you said the maximum litres per minute is 200 now first of all clear the issue stating whether it is always 200 or it  differs, also we need to know what is the temperature of gas while in flowing state, u mentioned it is heated in warm water but the temperature can vary and so can the volume of gas. thus for different temp of gas we have diff kg of gas flowing with constant LPM.

and by the way what is your purpose for knowing this calculation state the purpose and there can be a solution without answering this question,

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CALCULATE THE KG WEIGHT OF THIS LPG, WHICH IS MEASURED IN LPM, SO THAT THE ASSESMENT OF THE AVAILABLE LPG CAN BE DONE IN ADVANCE BASED ON THE LPM DRAWN ?

LPM  means liter per minute so it’s easy to find consumption over a given period of time in liter.  But then liter is volumetric i.e. amount filled in certain pot or tank.  Point is that if pressure is increased, more gas can be filled in tank ( liter is same but Kg is increasing in Tank) so without knowing the pressure conversion from liter to Kg simply not possible.

AUTOLPG pumps must be delivering the gas at a fixed pressure.  Otherwise measurement will change depending upon whether tank is empty or semi filled. With semi filled tanks it takes more time to fill the same amount of gas than in empty tank.

In present case, easiest way to compare is by KM a car runs in 2 different measurement system.  As per market statics, for 1 Litre LPG car runs about 16Km  (0.0625 liter per Km) while with cylinder of 14.2kg it goes about 260km  (.0546 kg per Km). So that way (0.0546/0.0625 = 0.8738) i.e. 1 kg=0.8738 liter.  If you change the mileage conversion factor will change.

The saving on account of conversion to AutoGas in comparison to petrol is about 35-40%.
