1 kg LPG is equivalent to 1.66 litre LPG.

wrong 1Kg LPG = 1.908 Ltrs at 8 Degree Centrigrate, i am really shocked to see that people in india dont even know anything about LPG and still they go ahead with it, amazing , in indian conditions it will become 1Ltr =0.48 Kgs due to rise in temperature i.e. 1Kg = 2.04 Ltrs approx i cannot tell you the exact no as it can only be determined according to atmospheric temperature.

Yes, Vidhur would also be knowing - I just came across the following in one of his posts:

"1 kg lpg = 1.82 ltr lpg app.... density n character is th same ........... its just that 1 kg is much more quantity than 1 ltr of lpg."

hmm......

n dis btw is d most confusing thing for ppl who r new to LPG.....they confuse Auto LPg to b in Kgs...

whereas its in Litres.

to make matter more confusing... LPG home cooking gas is in KGs!....

n since CNG,obviously being Gaseous at the time of filling is in Kg's...ppl think LPg wud b in Kgs too...

okay...ne idea how many Litres of LNG wud b equal to a kg of CNG ?

There is a new poser; Industrial needs convert the LPG into a heating media. The LPG is indirectly heated by passing it in coils immersed in Hot water. The vapourised LPG is then used to fire a " Hot water generator", and other applications.

There are flow meters installed to measure this heated LPG at various user points. The cumulative flow at maximum draw is @ 200 LPM ( Mind well it is heated due to passing in coils immersed in Hot water, and is already released form the storage cylinder - thus it is not under pressure )

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CALCULATE THE KG WEIGHT OF THIS LPG, WHICH IS MEASURED IN LPM, SO THAT THE ASSESMENT OF THE AVAILABLE LPG CAN BE DONE IN ADVANCE BASED ON THE LPM DRAWN ?

Yes, honestly... it is indeed a bouncer - too technical for people like us.  Hope Vidhur & Banwari come to our rescue
