Insurance Claim for Minor Scratch

My 1 month old car got a minor scratch near the rear door while parking.

I dont know how much would be my repair cost.

Can someone tell whether we can claim that from insuarnce company?

Simple reasons:

1. The cost of repair is minimal
2. You may not like to hear/read it, but there is a very good chance that you will have a few more scratches here and there over a course of time. If you really want to remove them, then simply get that portion of your car re-painted after some time (say an year or so). even that would not cost you a lot.

So do not claim for small-small things. If there is any major damage, then go for claims.

We suggest that you don't try to claim insurance for this minor repair for the simple reason that the claim process is just too cumbersome for such a small requirement. Also, if and when you might need insurance for a larger issue, getting insurance can be a problem.

You don't even have to repair it right away. You can wait for a while and get it repainted after a few months.
