Hi Yadav,

I heard from my cousin that e lx is the same DICOR engine that has failed. It might be fuel efficient but after 30-40K kms it gives a lot of trouble.

Do put in some light , if you can?

the engine in the elx is not the same dicor as interpreted by some but its altogather new BSIV compliant crdi engine dubbed as CR4. I donot know what will happen after 30k-40k but one i know for sure is that right now my vehicle is doing its job in the form of refinement, power, space, looks and fuel economy. Condition of a vechile largely depend on driving habits and periodic maintenence. Poor driving and low maintenence can ruin even the mercedes but it doesn't mean that merc is BAD, is it??

Yadav,

I am so tempted that I could buy Indigo CS CR4 again when I sell my TDI next year. As of now, I was inclined towrwards Figo TDCI.

Also, I guess toyota liva diesel will also get launced by next year.

Do post some pics.

Hi Friends,

After looking at the reviews I am inclined towards Tata Indigo eCS.

I am planning to buy my first car and from a very long time I was researching on cars, I had almost finalised on Maruti Ritz. After this review and the comments I am rethinking on TATA cars (which I had took out of plan after all the bad comments on TATA quality, bad service).

Yadav could if please tell me if you are still feeling good about indigo, It's almost a year now.

Regards,

Rohan

Dear rohan, its not one year yet as i bought the car in nov 2010. But since then i have clocked almost 9000kms and i am finding my car truly amazing in terms of pickup, smooth gear box and great fuel economy. I won't say that ritz is a bad car but if you want to have the feel of sedan then indigo cs is for you, as it offers lots of space and practicality. Whatever may be the image of tata in the past, since then they have made long strides in passanger car section with excellent customer care and after sales service. So go ahead take a test drive along with your whole family and let them enjoy the enormous rear seat space and comfort while you check on the vital stats. regards

20+ in a mixed driving is very good as far as I think. If you still follow this link, I would like to request you to update your experience of one year long experience.
