okay. Now let me clarify one thing here. with my statement "you just cant post any crap on the name of democracy" I intended about people who make crap posts on the forum or say in this respect, reviews. Secondly we do not want to discuss about monarchy/democray and all that here and that is the primary reason I asked you to leave them out from future posts of yours still unsure why you felt it offensive. Democray is a different thing altogether and what we are speaking of here is completely different. If carwale did not advocate democracy half of the posts we make would never come out. Just FYI if you think you have left monarchy behind try visiting some other forums ( do not want to name them here) and you will realise monarchy is still being practised there with the MODS allowing you to post only what they feel like. As far as assertiveness and aggressiveness is concerned that is a personal call and I really dont want to speak about it. I hope this post would have cleared most of your misconceptions and given you an idea of what I intend to potray here.

I believe you need to read my post again and answer the questions what I have raised 1. Kindly put forward all crap posts which i have posted in carwale forum 2. I never used the word democracy till such time when you utterred it first 3. MODS job is to delete crap posts and that not called monarchism ok , 4. Kindly when you address a persons name never generalize. Speak to the point and never beat around the bush. Regards Mathew

1. Read the first statement of my previous post carefully and you will get what I said. If you need further elaboration/clarification on it let me know.

2. My mistake here that I took what you said for democray. Sorry about that.

3. Again you are getting Monarchism here. You said that we have left it behind and for the same I asked you to viit other forums where it is still much present. Also leave the MODS thing out of this. No need to squeeze it in unwantedly. I would have told you the same if I was not a MOD.

4.Sorry about this that I used your name and generalised but I just wrote it down in the way it would have been if we spoke face to face. Not sure what you mean by beating around the bush.

You seem to be going on a totally tangential direction to what I want to say. So I will better leave it to you on how you want to take. Probably others would have already understood what I meant. Also I in no way wanted to offend you but just put forth my views. If they have come out otherwise I am sorry about it. Thank you for your views on this. Lets continue with the discussion under consideration

Guys, I feel that its better to stop this debate. Over the past posts, this discussion has taken a sharp turn away from the topic. Hence I request you both to settle this issue in a positive and a quick way instead of justifying each others doings. Just my two cents.

Felt that already and so left it.

Between like i mentioned before is there anyway we can have the reviews go for an approval first and then come live on the forums? I have even read some reviews with swear words in them. I doubt if this thread would help improve the quality of the reviews.

Thats really nice .

Coming back to topic , it is not possible to stop people writing reviews about car though it may no be totally right . But again all car buyers have different perspective & needs & accordingly they review it . Also we all have some sort of bias ( though  we may never accept it !! ) while judging anything & it reflects in reviews . So best thing is - leave it to reader .

In past I had heavily critisized Polo & Etios . For that I had reasons but  my own observations can't make any car bad or good . Even when i20 was launched , I wrote about steering vibration and one response got was - You must be driving Merc or BMW !!! . I TD i20 for very short distance but I felt it .

There are three types of reviews -

1 - By new comers .

2-  By people who has been driving cars for a while

3-  By professionals .

So there  ought to be some difference of opinions .

Hi

We have buried the sachet ! I have always believed " forgiveness is the biggest weapon one can use against ones friend / enemy !

There are four types of people who post in Carwale forum, You can add more if you think so, I may be incorrect too , Dont hold the gun on me ok

1. Impulsive writers - These people are those who write reviews or post in the forums what goes in their head at that point of time ,  Such people swear a lot , criticize heavly and can go any extent. Often such people when they come to know about their own mistakes do often want to correct it at the earliest.

2. Emotional Writers - These people posts or reviews will be emotionally based upon their liking of a particular car and the service given to them in a good or bad way and they are emotionally attached to their cars , such people are in their own shells , they would like to see others like the products what they own , few times they vent their anger and ask for other forum members to help them for support too to drive a point home. Such people when they come to know their mistakes they show others mistakes than correcting self.

3.Passionate Writers - These people posts or reviews are more passion oriented , they want to be right in their reviews and want  forum members to like their reviews and posts. They are very subtle, however they are more methodical too. Highly extrovert kind of people and they will go any extent to help a fellow member's query or to resolve any issue .When they come to know about their own mistakes , they dont show up on the forum for few days then very cleverly comes up with a new and enticing topic so that attention is diverted.

4. Veteran Writers - These people posts or reviews are more from their own experience than through word of mouth. They only touch those topics which they are comfortable with and have knowledge in it . As long as you let them free and do their own job they do a great job, very nonchalant in nature ,however if someone rattles them they can go any extreme and will drive their point home. Such people never accept their mistakes , I would say leave them alone or they will bring the house down.

Now , by looking at any post in the forum one can  judge the person posts and review by looking at the above four types of people .

Regards

Mathew

Now whats your point in doing such an analysis? Do you want such titles instead of Newbie, Long-termers etc?
