You are very correct.
The m Howk engine which the M&M uses on their vehicles are torque effective but not fuel efficient.
I have enquired many Xylo owners from D2 to E4 series they all say between 7 to 9 kpl with great difficulty. Some even say the xylo is a failure vehicle,in comparison to innova and scorpio. Let us wait and watch. Also there is good news from cheverlet skoda and Maruti suzuki (R3 Ertiga) that they are going to launch smaller SUVs in India next year with a price tag between 6-8 lakhs.
There is another one vehicle poineer in India in this segment is Premier Rio II with a Fiat 1.3Lt multi jet disel engine coming next jan 12 with a price of 6 lakh plus. Though I am attracted by it's look and proformence that to with Fiat engine ,I am worried about it's after sale service.
