I'm sorry, I really don't know a thing about cars. I just got my first car, a Chevy Cruze delivered last week. For this, I took finance from SBI @ 8%.

Today I get a call from SBI asking for BLUE BOOK of the car. I'm confused. I got a service book with the car (the one that chevy provides) and the various other documents such as invoice etc. But there was no Blue Book given to me. Can anyone help me with this? What is a blue book and how do I get it from the dealership/other sources?

Yes. In some states, it comes in the form of book with blue color cover. In some it comes with Red color cover. In some its not a smart card. They need to update their records with the registration number of the car thats why they need a copy of it. Just take your car with original RC and a copy of RC. Submit the RC copy, show them the original RC along with car already having the registration plate with number. Thats it.

Those who claim that they know everything do not know what they dont know.

Thanks for the help!

I just got a small paper card which has a Govt. of WB Stamp over it and my car registration number printed over it. No blue or red covers. I guess that should be given to the bank.

Going to the bank tomorrow. I'll update if they don't accept it.
