This is not the problem with fiat only, i think almost all of the authorised service center 's do this to fill their pockets. I experienced it when my fuel meter was not working. They asked me to replace the cluster which cost arround 3.5k. When i went to a local mechanic he opened the instrument panel and just rotated it gently and it worked. And it cost me only 100 rupees. So be carefull with service centers

That's a Fiat dealer trademark quote. When they quote, you can remove at least two zeros and get the job done from outside mechanic. I own Palio Sports 1.2 2002 and am speaking this from my experience. For non working horn, they asked me to replace the Combination Switch (Rs.2,850/-) in 2005. I got the loose connection repaired for Rs.10/- from outside and the horn is working fine till date. Last week my average suddenly dipped from 15.5 Kmpl to 7 Kmpl. The dealer quoted 18K and wanted to change the timing belt(2.5K), water pump(2K), fuel tank(11K) etc. I replaced the leaking fuel filter for Rs.225/- and the average is back to normal. Beware of Fiat's Authorized Service, they r the ones who have killed Fiat in India.

hi, I kinda figured u might help me out here.  I own a Fiat Adventure Palio. Its a good car but I am having a tough time getting spare parts for it, since I am from Arunachal Pradesh,,which needless to say is preety cut off from mainland India.I bought it from Assam but they cant help me either since its a very rare car.
