Rohit, your guess is right. Better braking given where it is required. Here the front wheels. It is very true according to basic dynamics. Most of the inertia acting on the front wheel while braking is normal for two wheelers and four wheelers.

Even if you fix a disk brakes for your rear wheels it will not decreases the braking distance but rather it will drift your car.

I hope you are aware that once you apply your brake, brake only on front wheels will be triggered. To trigger the back wheels you have to pull the hand brakes very hard!

This will be not done in authorised showroom. If you are in bangalore, you will get the entire assembly for less than 5K

Harish, not true. While braking even the rear wheel brakes are applied - only the force distribution is biased towards the front wheels for better control during braking and minimising stopping distance. ONE SHOULD NOT PULL THE HANDBRAKE WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION!! It is a dangerous thing to do: If the rear wheels lock the rear will slide side-to-side (drift, as you mentioned) causing unpredictable braking.

I've seen it in one of my relative's OHC and checked the braking myself. Brakes are extremely effective and are much better than my Esteem. If I get it installed on my Esteem also, Will that affect the Hand Brake system??
