Honda new small car

Honda will launch its new small car in early 2011. The new car which was unveiled at the Auto Expo will be smaller than the Jazz and cheaper also.

In one of the automotive site, read about Honda Brio small car. Here are few details - "Based on a completely new platform, the Brio will be an entry level compact car that will be four meters long with an engine similar or smaller to the 1.2-litre motor of the Jazz. Honda is working on a 3-cylinder version of the same motor, but without the VTEC technology.

Expected for an early 2011 launch, the ‘2CV’ will boast of cutting-edge technology that would help return good fuel economy. Honda is hopeful of producing a car that will be the most economical car in its segment. While Honda has completely denied a diesel engine for its small car, the company has hinted towards a Hybrid version of the '2CV', following feasibility reports.

Interior packaging on the car is expected to be in line with the Jazz, so expect it to be high on comfort and space. If Honda could price the Brio competitively – unlike the Jazz – it could have a winner in its hands. Fitted with safety features like ABS and Airbags, Honda wants to tactfully price the Brio and has set a price target of under Rs 5lakh. Let's hope they achieve it!"

Honda Brio would be the best competitor for toyota etios small car

It may come in last quarter of 2011 . It is smaller than Swift . Pricing will be very crucial .

Honda Motor Company scheduled to be launched the 1.2 litre petrol hatchback Brio in India in end 2011, priced below Rs 5 lakh. Honda Brio will compete with Indian mid segment cars such as Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai i20, Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo.

The price for the Brio is expected to be close to 5-6 lakh or less.

in website it is showing that,brio will hit the indian roads on 17march.The Brio will be Honda's first venture into the compact car segment and with a March release the company sure wants to be ahead of its competitors.

i hope the launching date should not be get postponded
