I currently own a Ritz Vxi and want to convert it to CNG.  I have heard that the K Series engine is not quite adaptive to CNG conversion.

When I went to the CNG conversion centre, they said RITZ as well as all K series engines face a problem after CNG conversion, including those of misfire or something.

They also suggested that sequential CNG Kit may work on RITZ but the same is very expensive (around 55 k) as compared to the standard one (30 K).

Can I get some insights on all these and some guidance as to which CNG kit would be best for RITZ

Hi Rajesh,

i am not sure if Ritz has yet recieved a Retrofitment-OK certificate yet.

a certificate is given to Car makers, stating the vehcle is okay for CNG/LPG fitments.

This normally take about 6-8 months. i am not sure if Ritz has received it yet.

Please check with the company itself. before the certificate, your retrofitment cannot be added to ur RC.

Yes. K-Series ritz can be converted to CNG.

Pls see a TBHP thread on this.

My uncle has Ritz and he recently got it converted into CNG from petrol. And as Kulmohan singh said, it is economic. After converting it into CNG my uncle had visited Mumbai from Gurgaon and he said as compare to petrol he actually found the difference in average and overall cost.

Hi sameer,

cng is 60% cheaper than petrol in mileage and the price is 50% cheaper in price & it gives u 17 to 20 kmpl for sure . i have own the ritz vxi & converted it & im using since last 6months.  you can ask to any person who drive the cng car, they will tell you .
