Address proof for new vehicel registration in Pune

Hi All,

Need help to get information regarding the address proof docs required for new vehicle registration in Pune.

I have rented accommodation & have notarized agreement. But dealer is insisting to have registration of rent agreement done in order to proceed with RTO registration which will cost me around 3.5 to 4k which is quite costly indeed.

Does registration really required, I remember one of my friend who bought new car from other dealer almost 2 months back didn't require rent registry & only notarized agreement had solved the purpose.

Please suggest.

Yes registered rental agreement is mandatory now in Pune.

I also had the same problem, since I was on rental - however since I  had purchased a house, I showed the purchase agreement and got an affidavide done from one citizen center in Yerwada.
