Figo is an excellent car...I myself bought it last month...

Gives me a mileage of 20kms...

The only concern with the car I am facing that the paint is coming out in just 15 days on road....and the RHS door has caught rust....

So..just be careful with the exteriors... as it took me by shock and i have taken up the issue with my dealer....

Else, it is a great car

Thnx for the link to comparison Dwarika but stability and wheel base is not what you need in a  car, in these terms Ambassador is the best but I know even you will not go for it.

I am talking about the whole package where Ritz is far better tha Figo in terms of service back up,brand image, road presence.

Hi Vaibhav,

i agree that the facts would vary from person to person as the need is different for individuals. I took rigorous test drive of both Figo and Ritz before I decided for Figo. Ritz lacks with LOT of functionalities and features as compared to Figo. It does not come with an airbag while costing almost the same as Figo. It has thinner tires compared to Figo which is a safety factor. It lacks handling in corners which again a safety factor. It has soft suspension which is supposed to give more comfort but it does not as compared to Figo. Its clutch is too hard to press which is bad for city driving.

BUT these are my observations. And because I found Figo better so I bought. If I had money then I would have selected the Polo over Figo. The points I spoke about could be pointless for some one else.

About service I dont agree that Maruti is good anymore. I own 2 Maruti cars and what I see is their quality has gone down, service fee increased and spare availability is also an issue. Same thing I notice with Hyundai with experience from friends and relatives.

Ford, Chevrolet and Volkswagen on the other hand are doing just the opposite by offering better service.

Just my 2 cents.

Sharma faced the problem with exterior which I never faced but I had opted for underbody and outer body protection. Again this is far cheaper with Ford over Maruti. Yes I could observe the bumper is too soft. Not sure if it is good or bad but I am not so comfortable with it.

Cheers

Dwarika

Hi Dwarika,

Airbag does not comes in alot of cars on road in India although it a very essential safety measures and I hope we Indians are used to it due to which this is still not part of standard feature.

Thinner tyre adds to the milgae and about the cornering , well we commute to office/drive on weekends and I hope we do not "RACE".I myself own a RITZ GENUS and I am very comfortable in the city rides, its just the practise.

Regarding service, I hope almost every body would agree that Maruti is the best.

But as I said earlier, opinion always differs and so the car that we own.

I own a Ritz Lxi petrol and so far i am satisfied with its performance. 13-14 kmpl in city and 16-17 on highways. I drive mostly in the city and I dont find any issues in ride handling, infact this is my first driving car, i bought imm'ly after i got the drivers license. Tall boy design gives a good road view and the ground clearance is descent. If you are OK with the rear portion of ritz, then this car is a better choice. 3 people can comfortably sit in the rear seat.
