1. Usually no - but even if its possible, cost would be a major factor 2. New engine would be costly 3. May be possible by tuning the carburetted engine, but success may not be that remarkable.
IMO, better than changing the engine (or getting a new one), get the current one fine tuned (including repairs if any). That would be far more cost-effective. If you don't want to do that you'd be better off buying a new vehicle instead trying convert carburetted to MPFI or installing a new engine.
