I plan to upgrade my Vento Tyres on delivery. I am offered 185/60 R15, with my High-line Diesel.

Can I upgradeto 205?? or 195 is enough. Await feedback & the right size.

How much should I expect for my Stock tyres??which will hardly be run for Max 50Kms.

I would like to say a few points which made me not change my car's stock tyres.

After you turn the wheel full, see how much gap is there between 'tyre guard'( I don't know what is said exactly for the part) and the tyre. I have seen wider tyres tearing the walls of the guard when they are turned in full, if there is a slight change in alignment. I have seen this in Ritz and Lancer especially. As the roads are bad, its very easy to get misaligned.

May be this is the reason why ANHC is not offerred with 16" option in India. Its available with such an option in Aus.

If the new tyres costs 3K, I would have given you 2500 minimum for the 50Km done tyres. If you are changing it, why don't you change it before taking the delivery, so that you can sell tyres which has done less than 1 km.

Afterall, will the 2cm width difference cause any significant difference in comfort or grip by compromising FE?

I love my car. But I won't say it is the best in its class.

Shaheen thnx for your reply.

They might drive down from Vasai VW  stock yard( Outof Mumbai Limit) which is 50Km from Santacruze VW West dealer. The car which I TD was also got

If needed & not damaging the car/Balance & ride, maximum I would like to upgrade to 205, IF not then I might continue with 185. No pint upgrading to 195. I am not sure of the Rim width.

I need to know the best combo to increase my size to 205 on the stock 15" alloy & the impact on my car.

Depending on rim size (I hope its 6J), 205 is perfect upgrade from 185. The best size would be 205/55R15, error is just 0.58% (upto 2% is acceptable).

You can this link for upgrade guidance - http://www.tyrestore.in/upsizing.htm

Also I beleive the OE tyre is Apollo Acelere, change it to Michelin Primary LC or Continetal CPC2.

Ravis, Thanks buddy.

OE now are either JK Frown or Apollo Cool. If JK I am not even thinking & going stright for 205/55R15.

Apollo, I am using now in my Palio & quite happy with them. They are super quite. Any idea about PIRELLI tyres?? how are they?

Pirelli is a niche brand, but not sure about its availability.

Why not Michelin ?

And I am sure, that you would have checked with VW for the continued warranty inspite

of the tyre profile change.

Got a Quote for 205/55/15 from Saifee tyres Santacruz.

YokoHama S drive  Rs.5520

Michelin ( not sure abt the availability) Rs.6125 To be confirmed.

Has offerd me Rs.2000 for my stock tyres.

Will try & get better deal.  Does anyone have a good tyrewala friend in Mumbai??  I think  shoud get RS.500/less for my old tyres from their respective market price.

Do advise. Also will chek on Pirelli, but Saifee guy told me why are you going for Pirelli , when no one puts them in their car??? ANy Idea?
