Facility to delete double post

People like me, having poor internet connection is very like to have double posting and it will be a discomfort for readers especially guest or new visitors. I know there are reasons for not providing a delete button.

But in the same way, as you provide edit option for sometime, I would suggest to provide a delete button as well for the same short duration, so that the user has an option to delete the post, if he accidently double posted.

I would also like this option. The delete option should stay active for the same duration as the Edit option.

Alternatively, there should be a sub option in the "Report this post button" which has an option to inform the moderaor to delete the post.

Well, deletion of own posts had been discussed once but the consensus was that posts cannot be deleted other than by moderators.

Personally even I feel that one should be able to delete his/her own post as long as it has not been read (or another post made in reply to it) by someone else, bounded by a time limit - say, 15 minutes after which deletion will not be allowed even if the post has not been read/replied to.

Yes, I can delete your posts - simply post the link to where your multiple posts OR post a message in that very thread saying which multiple posts you want to delete.

Deleted them. Please be careful while posting new topics - and do not post the same thing in multiple forum categories. It gets difficult to track them.
