@ Sandeep

Offcourse they are same. But thats not cheating I would say. If they are offering good car at reasonable rate, then its good. Logan was also taken here from foriegn origin.

Dacia Duster has been featured in few auto magazines. Probably it is 5 seater outside in other countries, and they might modify it here for 7 - 8 seater. 5 seater SUV doesnt have market in India if price is below 10 lakhs.

They should price is around 6 - 7 lakhs here.

Terrific SUV by Renault. Proven its worth around the world and now expected to be in India.
Rugged, Reliable, Frugal, Comfy and Urbanized.....this is how i would describe this SUV.
There are a lot of young white collared executives who would love to drive an SUV to work and for weekend drives as well. Most of them end up buying a sedan like City, Vento, SX4 because there is no attractive SUV at an attractive price available in India.
The Scorpio is absurdly over priced. The basic EX version which is a completely stripped down version, cost Rs.8.50 Lacs on road in Mumbai and for exactly the same price i can get an executive class Honda City with all the bells and whistles.
If Duster is priced at about 8.50 Lacs on-road, then i am sure people in India will dump their plans of buying sedans like Honda City, Vento, SX4, Fiesta, Verna and shift loyalties to the Renault Duster.
If this happens, Mahindra will have to stop the production of the Scorpio as there will be no buyers for it at Rs.11 Lacs on road in Mumbai.
I hope Renault launches the Duster by early 2012 atleast at a very attractive price.

Renault's 1.5 liter diesel engine doing duty on Fluence is giving amazing FE as from carwale Fluence test and review. They claimed FE goes upto 16 kmpl on highway with AC on.

I am sure, Renault will have same engine for this SUV, considering SUV may have slightly more weight, still it may give 15 - 16 kmpl with AC off.

Has Renault officially announced launch dates for Duster. By the look of it , it can also give XUV 500 a run for the money if you dont need such a big and powerful car but want to have a comfort of SUV.
