Hello,

I just got this thought that can we add an alternate email id in our profile. So while we post we can decide on which email id we want the update mail on by selecting a radio button.

This came to mind since i have my primary mail id as my gmail id and can't access this in office. I do not want my office id to by primary mail.

Can this be done ? I think this might benefit many of us.

Cheers.

Vaibhav,

Sounds like an interesting idea. But don't you think it will lead to confusion? This way, one will have certain threads in one inbox and other in the second inbox!

We will implement the ways of updating your email address though, that's in process.

Hello Banwari Sir,

I mean that one can get the facility to make a copy mail i.e. Bcc kind of. We can ask if user wants the response on his alternate mail id also. So that we can have copy of mail in main and alternate address.

eg: The checkbox below a post displays this text "Whenever someone replies to this thread, notify me by sending an email"

We can also have such thing for alternate email.

Just a thought coz our company policy prevents viewing other mail sites.

Thanks for considering this idea.

I got your point, Vaibhav. This is a work around though. The best idea would be to make the "New Posts" very effective. Or something like, "You've XXX new posts", clicking on which leads to all new posts for you. This way you don't have to spam yourself with lots of email everyday.
