Budapest has an automated and futuristic parking solution for 404 cars called Wohr Multiparker 730 installed in its city centre.

For details, see this video:

Cool technology! Thanks for sharing, Ravi!

We have lifts already in use in Mumbai, and I can see this taking a maximum of 10 years to become a mainstay in parking tech in Indian metros, especially crammed places like old Delhi, and downtown Mumbai.

Hey i live in Pune and i have actually seen them work.. It looks great. They are semi automated but it's good. See the benefits if you have a small parking lot you can keep once car above other .. cool na.

Cursing a flat Tyre won't fix it :)

I have also seen this technology in Mumbai on one of the malls. Dont remember which one. But was not fully automated. Our valet parking guys were operating it manually.

Even our office has a similar kind of parking here cars are lifted above the ground on lifts/elevators so that place below the elevator is available for another car. Hence utilizing the aero-space of parking and parking 2 cars in place of one. My car doesnt fits into it though. I have only seen small cars/hatchbacks being lifter.

Nice technology though. Its would be very much required in India as well, seeing the no of cars being sold every month

In Bangalore too, two-tier car parking in the same floor with manually operated hoisting systems is operational at Mantri Square and Lido Mall.
