Hello, I just heard from some sources close to Honda that the production of CR V is stopped and a new CR V will be available in next few months. How reliable is this news. Regards Rajesh

Dear Rajesh, The sources may be right just because of the fact that Honda keeps its models up to date with technology and design. Hence its quite possible that newer CR-V strike India in early 2007. New Accord too is expected to come earlier next year.

Hello Sharma ji, as you said the CRV was launced in Dec itself. but there is no information available on its fuel efficiency. when I asked the dealership, they refused to make any claim (where as they proudly give figures for City and Civic) I was reading somewhere that this car is 12-15% more aerodynamic than the predecsessor, so it must be giving better effeciency. What exacly is the fuel efficiency of this car, I need to knwo so that I can decide between Tuscon and CRV. Better still what would you suggest, I am planning to get this car by March - April only. Dear Rajesh,

The new CR-V too is quite similar to its predecessor in terms of fuel economy. Consider mileage of 7-8 kmpl from the Automatic and 8-9 from the Manual CR-V in city, AC on. Being more aerodynamic may not necessarily imply that car would be more fuel efficient. It definitely assures better seating, stability, handling etc though.

Tucson is not as hot as CR-V, in fact the CR-V 2007 is even hotter but Tucson is definitely more economic in terms of fuel expenses and maintenance/spares etc. If economy is one of the major parameters in your car buying decision, you must seriously consider Tucson over CR-V.
