Recently, I came across an article about New Suzuki Swift in Australia. Some technical details and new technology is discussed here, which may be of interest to many of you, hence I decided to put here. Specification of Australian Swift is here for future reference. It is interesting that in spite of making the International Swift bigger, Suzuki was able to keep same weight as present Swift in India. I don’t know if New Swift in India will be able to maintain same weight as present. If not then performance and FE will suffer in India. Did Maruti announce the price of New Swift in India? There is also a speculation that Maruti may sell old and new Swift at the same time, to keep customers.
In a connected note, Maruti is likely to reduce the length of New DZire to within 4 meters to take advantage of lower excise duty and that way they will not increase the cost of Dzire.
