RITZ ldi..insurance need to be renewed within few days, but dint get any calls from the dealer .previously had insurance from the company .

the extended warranty is applicable only when i go for insurance from the company..

so no choice for private insurance company..so shall i approach the dealer or wait for the call ?

There is that clause hence you are not getting the calls. Else they would have troubled you like anything. Do give a call you them since ultimately you are going to suffer if it's late and not the dealer.

I want to highlight a few points while renewing the insurance:

1. Try to get the IDV (Insurance Declared Value) a little towards the higher side.

2. Ask for the breakup of the premium from the insurance agent. This would explain you about the NCB (No Claim Bonus) and discount.

3. You can take insurance from any external agent or from the car showroom agent (from where you have taken your car), but check from the ASC about the cashless insurance vendor coverage (because for any damage, you'll prefer to go to authorized service center only). This is because, if the ASC is not having the cashless coverage from the your insurance vendor, then you have to first pay from your own pocket and then get it reimbursed or you have to get the repair done from some garage where your insurance vendor is having cashless coverage.

Thanks,

Pawan

Finally renewed my insurance from Tata aig for a premium of 9800 at IDV of 320000. It's that zero depreciation plan where you just got to pay 500 for any claim settlement .

1) a normal plan

2) a so called " per plan " in which she said the company will be giving 100% compensation for every damage or quoting her " the car will be company's responsibility "

Now , i haven't heard of such per plan before . Does such a thing exist ?? or is it just a trick with hidden terms and conditions ??

@Shunmugavel: Per Plan does exist. Many new cars do come with this option. Its good for newbies and people who want to keep their car free of scratches/dents etc as not much of co pay is required. Good that you have decided to go with TATA-AIG per plan. Its really hassle free.
