Sarath,

I do a regular check up but yes once in 6months is a good thing. Also i believe after every 3-5K Km one should o a check up.

I have completed 15k. Had a recent long drive to Trichy and then to Kodai. I20 Climbs hill like a butter.

I am loving it

Hi Mahesh,

Its not unusual... the best mileage from a car will b when u drive at a constant speed (preferably where the RPM is around 2k 0r 2.5k) and without changing the gears....

I have a diesel 6 gear i20 and in my case I have had a mileage of 20.2 kmpl with full AC when I drove from Bangalore to Madurai.... just to check the mileage I traveled in 100 km/h and in 6th gear and avoided unwanted gear shifts....

in the return journey, i maintained 120km/h and the mileage had a significant drop (18kmpl)...

once I tried to roar the engines and traveled from Bangalore to Erode in top speed of 181km/h and tried to maintain an average of 140+ km/h and the mileage was just 13kmpl....

lower and stable the rpm, better the mileage

Vignesh

Hi Arun,

My suggestion is do the first three services as per the manual. If the date comes early then better do it as per that .Reasons as below.

1. Being a new car its better if you take care of it as per the manual. Delay of 20 days mite affect some parts.

2. Sometimes when you go after 20 days the dealear mtie say that since u brought it 20 days after the due date, you mite not b eligible for the free service. Didnt happen to me for my car. But happened to me for my Pulsar, where I took the bike 10 days delayed after the due date for the 2nd free service and the guy refused to honor.

Probably call the ASS and confirm if you can bring it 20 days delayed as you are not in town blah blah. Dont forget to get the name and the mobile number of the person to whom u speak.

Vignesh

thankyou nsvigneshwaran for your reply. Will keep the points (u mentioned) in mind.

gri20... You can have it fixed from the Serice station itself. When you give it for service. I had done it at V2 Hyundai at Perungudi.
