You have to apply to the car company for which you have to take the dealership.  Mostly the application forms are available online and you can even apply online or they will send you the application form.  You will have to provide your net worth with photos of your proposed showroom and if workshop then details for that.

Investment depends upon company to company.

minimum investment starts from 5 crores on showroom infrastructure with workshop and inventory.

I also wanted to start something similar, since we dont have AUDI or Mercedes SHowrooms here in our city.

But when I enquired, they said, it should be a security deposit of around 10 crores for Audi. I started vomiting on the phone . LOL!

No one ask for the security deposit.  its the net worth they see and the investment you will do in the invetory.

Dinesh, best way to obtain information is to go through the actual process of enquiry about a dealership. Ask genuinely, to the person who is involved with Renault. The quality of information received there is likely to be much better than other indirect means.
