Hi

Iam having car zen estelio LXI in Mumbai. Igot a quote from Maruti dealer(IciciLombard) & Tata Aig. My Car is one year old.

Maruti dealer is offering me Comprehensive policy @premium 8327/-

While Tata -Aig is offering me same policy at  Rs 9,792 for idv value of Rs2,79,040.

I want know following things

1.which one is better?

As per my understnding ICICI Lombard is good as its premium is less but Tata aig guy is offering me some additional benefits..

Benefits are

1.They are providing  me with the “Depreciation Reimbursement “add-on. This benefit ensures that no depreciation is charged to YOU in the case of you repairing or replacing any parts of your car at our authorized garages. All that you have to pay is the compulsory deductible amount depending upon the car’s cubic capacity. This Add-on provides this benefit for the first two claims during the period of the insurance with TAGIC and is valid only if the claim is made at any of our listed garages.  (Means he was saying that I don't want to pay any amount while claim will came. All parts like fibre,Metal, glass will be covered 100%. Only i need o pay Rs 500/-only ) Is it true?

2.Another unique feature of this policy is that you will not lose your No
Claim Bonus if your vehicle needs repairing for any Fiber, Plastic, and
glass parts. However, to avail of this offer the vehicle should be
repaired at our Key Preferred Garages only.

I want to any body had availed above benefits from Tata-Aig

Which policy is better?

2. Taking policy from Dealer is good or from any other agent is good?

Thanks in advance

Nilesh

Read the fine print, Nilesh, the devil is in the details.

My guess is the dealer policy turns out to be 20% costlier than outside, for an apple-to-apple comparable policy. Here the twist is the outside policy is turning out to be costlier.

I am generally a skeptic, and may not be able to give you unbiased advice. I let others to chip in here.
