Is 1998 Fiat Uno a good second hand buy

I am considering to buy a second hand used Fiat Uno petrol model. I have squared upon 2 cars one with 32000 kms done and the other one 61000 both 1998 models with 1 litre fire engine. Please let me know the normal problems faced in the cars of this model.Also with the recent tieup with Tata willthe after sales service be better. Thanks in advance

Dear Basudev, Fiat Uno would be higher on maintenance as compared to other small cars. However Uno is very sturdy car, it won't trouble you much with regular maintenance but considering the spares cost, less-knowledgeable mechanics, it becomes maintenance-concerned car. After sales services are definitely improving but the car you are talking about is already a decade old and its not possible for any car manufacturer to provide support forever. Check-out the car very thoroughly against any major problem and try to finalize the 32k kms one.
