New alloys for my fiesta.

Hi all,

I have fiesta 1.6 Zxi. I am planing to put alloys for it.

I loved the alloys in 1.6 S version.

The problem is about the tyre profile and rim size.

1.6 S comes with 195/55  R 15

Mine is 175/65 R 14.

My doubt is shall i proceed and go ahead with this change?

I know there will be a change in speedometer and odometer reading. Can't wee change the settings of these?

A guy in ford said that if i go at a speed of 103, by speedometer will show 100km/hr

Also the odometer will show a considerable change. Can you guys please suggest whether shall i go ahead.

If your speedo meter slows down, then there shouldn`t be any prob !!

suppose after actually running 50K kms, your speedo meter shows 48K, whats the harm??

Sounds like there is no harm in that part. One more thing that conks me off is the ride quality and suspension.Will there be any impact in suspension all beacuse of oversizing the tyres?

Will there be any change in Ground clearance?

you will probably lose yr warranty as well. Chk on that before upsizing
