Guys PLEASE MEASURE FUEL EFFICIENCY of your car properly.

The following passage shows the steps to check mileage properly which is written by some Manager or Dealer of FORD Company :

I have copied it and pasted here to help all :

Usually the mileage of any car will totally depend on the driving style, climatic condition, fuel quality & driving area (Highway or City)

To Take the reading please follow these steps.
1:- Make the fuel take full, while filling ask the fuel station person to set the dispenser in Auto Cut mode,In Autocut mode the dispenser will stop the supply of fuel when it gets a back pressure.
2:-Set the trip meter reading to 0 & then drive the vehicle at a moderate speed of say 70 KMPH in 5TH gear, use brake only when required, avoid rapind acceleration.
3rive the vehicle in this mode for some 100 kms.
4:Come Back to the same petrol pump & tell the person to add fuel again in the autocut mode.
5:The mileage now can be calculated by dividing the KMPh/Total quantity of fuel filled the second time.

Try these steps & even after the mileage is poor then you can get it touch with me.

Please dont rely totally on the DTE meter as it will vary from conditions.

PL CHEK THE DTE METER... I THINK IS SHOWN FALSE READING...   I GOT 13-16 KM AFTER FIST SERVICE.., SOMETIMES MY DTE METER SHOWS SOME ERROR.. WHEN I FILL 4-5 LITER PETROL MY METER SHOWS ZERO.. SO U PLESE CONTACT UR DEALER.. AFTER U PL REPLY..

the fuel economy of ford figo is 8-10 in city depending upon ur driving style...but it gives 15-16 km on higway i tested

Figo is comparetivly heavy car.

on highways without AC it should give 15 - 16 kmpl driving at 50 - 60 kmph. In city driving it all depends in traffic conditions, but overall, wth AC on, it should give around 10 - 12 kmpl.

Driving is privilage, not a right.

Ford Figo Diesel would be a good choice but Petrol stay away.... Fuel economy is poor & resale will be too bad.

Hi... See my previous post on this tread.. it was in Sept 2010 and now its Nov 2011.

I have been driving my FORD FIGO diesel since a year.. And I am very very HAPPY with it..!! whether its drive, space , looks , mileage, comfort.. all are awesome.

Happy means, m happy with mileage too.. Mostly I run my car in my city with most of the time AC on and getting 18 Kmpl on road .. And on HIghway around 20kmpl..

I have one my senior who also purchased the car and he is drving since 10 months and he is getting 18.5-19 in congested areas.. (same diesel ZXI) with AC on always.

Moreover, see the growing number of FORD FIGO on Indian roads, they will tell u the whole story..!

And I think FORD FIGO is great great buy..!Cool

Guys, the thread owner and the member who asked about the FE of figo have not updated the thread for almost a year now. So let it rest for now till one of them gets back. I doubt if any of them is even following the thread

An accident is generally the result of a screw loose in the nut behind the steering wheel
