help me out TYRE issue

hi friends, now a days i feel my car is vibrating a lot on any type of road & its not smooth , when i took my car wheel alighment point they said tyres r soo hard & worn out its time to change as i know it is used car when purchased it 2 years back , i think the 1st owner didnt changed the tyres & my car model is 2002 ,

So can i know what if the tyre is worned out like what r the symitoms that tyres r hard , & if i wan to change can i change front tyre 1st & later change the rear? plz clear my doubts...

Go ahead and change your tyres as they are over 8 years old.

No problem in changing the front tyres first followed by the rear pair.

Yes. it will surely help, as you have already checked the suspension and the service engineer rules out any issue with the suspension. Right?

Well Krishna i had already changed the suspension & If i go ahead and change the tyres does this resolve the problem with vibration & wobbling??

@Ravi - do you plan to change the tyres or the whole wheel itself? IMO just changing the tyres might not help. Wobble in the wheel is an affliction of the the rim - this might be the suspect here, get it checked for balance. Also check the car's wheel alignment.

wheel balance is done rohit! only one rim is prob & its negligible said by tyre shop i just want to confirm will i get smooth ride if i only change the front tyres & at the low price tag tyre & which one will do? One more thing i just checked on internet plz check this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbK0Lj7tzlg this is regard putting new tyres to rear.

Ravi, ideally you should change all 4 tyres. If you change only two, you know you compromised and should take care.

The youtube video is very correct in its own point. But hydroplaning is something we face very rarely in city drive condition. The car hydroplaning in the video was going at 45 MPH, which is well over 70 kmph. If you are a cautious driver, you can avoid getting into this trouble.

Putting new tyres in the front will help proper power transfer from the engine to the tyres. It will help improve handling of the car, as front wheels are the steered wheels. Hence the recommendation.

Thank u krishna! Im new to term word Hydroplaning i think the roads which are wet or water staying places ! so if i change the front tyres which would u prefer well im looking for best budget one!
