Ramesh - The stock tires are bridgestone from magna to asta, era comes with mrf. Also recently saw one i10 with apollo. This car was just being unloaded from the container.

Alloys -- Plati, Neo, Aura, HR, League. Neo being the cheapest and its indian brand, also major supplier for many oem alloys along with aura

Size -- 13 inch, 5.5 J width, offset maybe 38??, PCD is 100.

Note -- Do not go for multipcd alloys. Go for alloys. do not mount 175/70 R13 on stock steel rims.

Do Michelin's in 155/80-13 come in XM1 or XM1+?

How do Apollo Acelere's compare to Michelin's in terms of safety (most important), durability, comfort and road noise?

How about high-speed handling?

I brought i10 in October 2009 and it came with 155 Bridgestone. I was not happy with the ride quality. So recently I have upgraded to 175/70 R13 Michelin (XM1+). The ride quality is much much smoother now.

Dear All,

I own a hyundai i10 asta automatic. 7 months old now. Would like to upgrade my tires from 155/80 R13 to following options,

1. 165/75 R13

2. 175/70 R13

"WOULD LIKE TO RETAIN THE ORIGINAL STEEL RIMS" The size of original i10 rim is 4B or 4J. DOnt know it exactly. However its from the two only. Enquired with michelin, they confirmed that I can upgrade to option no 2 as mentioned above on original stock rims. Do let me know whether it is safe to do so.

Michelin 175/70 R13 are best for the stock rims. It costs around rs. 3500 per tyre.

High speed handling actually depends more on car suspension, than tyres. Although tyres also play a vital role as they are connected between car and road. See ideally broader tyres will allow cornering at slightly higher speeds than narrow tyres.

Michelin is currently world's no. 1 tyre company. Apollo Aceler looks good (i20 comes with Apollo Aceler mostly), but Michelin is found on civics, mercs, etc.

Go for Michelin.

Brand new tyres, also known as stock tyres or chasis tyres, of hyundai i10 would fetch 700-1000 bucks a piece, provided they had run less than 50 kms.

Does the i10 come stock with only B'stone's? I thought there were two other brands.

What would the brand-new stock tires fetch?

I have upgraded my i10 tyres from 155/80 to 175/70 and got it filled with Nitrogen on stock rims! Amazing handling and ride quality has increased...but now the mileage is hurting me!

Mileage has come down from 14 Kmpl (17 kmpl on highways) to 11 Kmpl in city (Bangalore - congested traffic conditions), which is a huge number given the current petrol prices (which is again the highest compared all metro cities in Bangalore)!

Is there anyway to get more mileage out of this tyres..like upgrading the rims?
