Mine is a 2004 Model Accent GLS petrol (1.6 DOHC). I am looking for a new set of tyres for it. I have almost locked up on Bridgestone GIII or Turanzaa E-60 both 13 inch. Any fresh suggestions? Thanks in Advance

Both are good. My favourites are Michelin XM1+ (good for FE).

Hi Krishna,

I was using a set of Michelin.. It got worn out in 38K.. The Bridgestone (company fitted)lasted more than 60K... So deliberately ruled out Michelin... Good performance but low on durability... Well just my opinion!!

Driving to Kerala from Mumbai.. Just wanted to make sure tyres are fit and that is when I knew I have to change them... No shaking but a lil problem in pickup... There was a problem with the suspension in the front which is done with now..

Thanks

Anand

Both the GIII and the E-60 are performance oriented tyres and thread life could well be a concern.

Yoko A drives/Michelin XM1+ are good upgrades.

XM1+ are touted to be better on tread wear: the + stuff was introduced after initial complaints about low tread life.

Keeping a higher air pressure helps increase tread life. I have a set of Michelin XM1s on my car, and they have crossed 30k km. I am sure they will last me 25-30 more.
