One small clarification: I think Swift_owner wants to say balancing is ony needed if the tyres are removed from RIMS. Am I right? That way, most punctures today are treated without removing tyre from rims.

Yes, if the puncture is repaired without separating the tyre, then balancing isn't required.

Hi,

I have read all the quotes above. I understand that all company service centres (rather called service franchisees) are not at all sincere in their work what they do to the customer - and it is called 'service'. Funny. You might have observed, none of the company authorized service centres have dedicated time for a single vehicle serviced at their end, except for those that of their own staff of known persons/ or VIPs. This is the fact. (after taking delivery , you may find some newly created or strange problems for your vehicle - this is very common, i dont know how many of you observed it) Common man is always at the suffering end. The main reason for this is, the manufacturers. They are not monitoring the service what their service centres are offering to their customers. And if some of them does also, they are not dared to terminate if not found sound, because they are the seller/dealers for them too. . So i would request to all my friends here, listen to them, and suffer as much as we can, and then shift to some local automobile workshops, once we learned a lesson.

Manu

Manu, The vehicles under warranty are probably given a better deal, and it is also necessary to stick to the service intervals and ASS for servicing the car under warranty. If this is not done, genuine warranty  claims can be denied.

Once the warranty is over, however, in my opinion, it is better to get to some knowledgeable private garage to service your vehicle.

I think the reply is in there in Manu's concern, if you notice, there are companies who are willing to come into the service of vehicles of all the brands for instance, Bosch, Carnation etc., it will defintely take some time because presence in Metros and providing all the services under one roof and that too for all the brands and for all the models of all brands takes some time, before they can actually create their presence in the market, but for sure, the Authorized Service Centers would get a hit with their arrival.

Yes Sunny, I agree with that...and moreover, it boost up the driving pleasure and gives the best control on vehicle. Even more, it is a matter of safety too. I enjoy driving a vehicle with perfect wheel alignment. And i always ensure this on my car.
