Hi,

To my bad luck my new swift which was purchased a months back is now looking bald with no wheel caps as all the four wheel caps where stolen last night. The major disadvantage is that in Maruti the wheel caps wont cum with nuts/bolts & very easy to remove.

Now i want to put a steel wheel caps but i am looking for a wheel caps with nuts i mean fitted within the tyre like what we have with hyundai or chevy...

Please suggest some good steel wheel caps & its pricing if aware off as i reside in bangalore. Please let me know if it is possible to get wheel covers with nuts for my maruti swift.. do we have this option for Maruit.. i havent seen any wheel caps with nuts in maruti cars unless exceptionaly they are alloys.

Kindly reply me on the same.

Thanks, *********

Pardon my ignorance but I'm yet to come across steel wheel caps! Can you show some pics for my knowledge?

If the requirement is not restricted to steel wheel caps, you will get lots of options in PVC/ABS wheel caps which are bolted with the rim and can't be removed without opening bolts.

p.s. It's really sad to see the increase in theft of car related stuff. I believe the logo/emblem theft is still on and now this wheel cover stealing. Where are we leading to?

Steel wheel cpas where the old trend that started from padmini premeir makes in india. however i check in most places & they dont have anything called steel wheel caps these days however one guy didnt showed but he told its 950rs a set in JC road.

Could you please show me the pics on the option that u told i.e PVS/ABS wheel caps which are bolted with the rim and can't be removed without opening bolts.

I would say this is what excatly i am looking for Could you please tell me what is its approx pricing... Its great if you can upload some picks for me or the dealer details if u know any in bangalore.

Thanks,

look around in the parking lot - there will be several vehicles that have wheel caps, and those that have nuts showing over the wheelcap (there will be recesses for the nuts in the wheel caps), those will be the ones Banwari was referring to.

Can't get you a picture, but my New Honda City stock whell cap is fixed with nuts (the cap goes on before nuts are tightened), and it is not worth taking the nuts off for just the cap - you might as well steal the tyre then.

Had a similar situation, the after market ones will turn yellowish so make sure you get the ones listed on maruti service center accessory booklet.

@Prashanth_bv : Dude the incident which had happened to you had occured to me this weekend.... had gone to Manipal County Club for my company outing in my brand new Maruti Swift Vxi (not even 1 month old) .... had parked the car in an open space along with some 20- 30 odd cars ....while coming out I noticed that all the 4 wheel covers were stolen .... really man it did hurt me a lot ....

Well did you got the steel wheel cover?? even I am also planning to get one now.
