Guys,

I need some advice on ICE for my BEAT.

My budget is around 10K for HU + speakers.

I like normal music(no hard rock etc).

I prefer FM + USB based HU unit. Do suggest me some.

Also what type of speakers are suitable for my car?

There are slots for speakers visible at the front dask corner and read boot.

Thanks

Congrats for your new Beat.  I too have the same colour.  I opted to go with the speaker size for which provision has aready been made by the company.. front speakers are smaller in size than compared to Rear speakers.  I didnt want to cut the tray behind the rear seat to fix a bigger sized speakers.

I chose Sony Zappin model music system which costed around 8500 + 4 speakers, total cost coming to 12k.  Sound is good but it would have been much better had there been a provision for a bigger speakers.  It has provision to connect USB, it can be connected to an iphone, ipod or any other mp3 player.

Thanks Shaan.

I also want to go for speakers which fit in the slots already provided.

I guess 4'' is the size of speakers for front. Which company did u choose for speakers?

What is the size of speakers for rear side?

I am unable to find much about Sony Zappin. Let me know the model number.

Thanks

I think it is Sony CDX-GT630UI.  Just give Sony Zappin Model on google search and the very first link will give you details of the stereo in question.

I opted for 4 Sony speakers only.

Hi all,

I too have a chevy beat and looking for the same thing; ICE.

I have decided the HU (Sony Xplod GT494U) and front speaker (Sony 4") but like your advice on rear speaker.

As marketbuzz said, I also want to go for rear speaker which fit in the slots already provided.

Can you suggest some options (brand, size, approx.cost) for rear speakers?

Thanks & regards

Pioneers headunits comers around 7000K and 2 * 2300 JBL normal speakers door speakers = arnd 11K.

Check the local accessoires shop for prices.

Cursing a flat Tyre won't fix it :)

But it is the rear speakers i want such that it shud not eat up the already small boot space.Guys with knowledge plz plz reply.

Hi Sachin,

I purchased Beat LS on its launch (booked in Jan 28 and got delivery on 02 March).  But in hurry I went for Oval Pioneer Speaker for rear (because I love to listen music in good sound quality) and to fit this I had to cut the rear parcel tray. But believe me still there is no shortage of boot space (compare to small boot of A-Star).  Anyway, if you don't want to cut parcel tray, then go for 4" JBL speaker to fit into the rear space already provided.  It would cost you under 2K (you can visit JBL India website wherein they have mentioned the price of all models).  BTW I have installed Pioneer HU 2290UB (with FM+USB+iPOD provisions), 4" front speaker & 6x9" Oval rear speaker (all Pioneer).  All costed me 10K.

Regards.

-Hira

guys dont go for sony Hu, pioneer HU's are much better and for speakers go for Jbl most vfm brand.

4'' are ok for front but you need oval 6X9 speakers in rear if you dont have any plan for amp+sub.

jbl 4''  speakers cost aprox Rs.1100.
