That tyre shop is well known in my area, had filled nitrogen few weeks back, pressure seems to be correct. Dont think its because of improper inflation

Looks like you kissed a pothole too hard, and the tyre is having fond memories - deformed permanently?? I dunno but could the 'Steel' in Steel radials be having something to do with it? (the steel mesh getting deformed?)

I guess Manish Rathor would be able to say authoritatively.

@Krishna - Adam has mentioned that its on all four tyres...so pothole does not seem to be a factor (how can all tyres have a similar deformation all at once?).

Seems more like a temparature related problem - Mumbai temparatures have really risen in the last week or so.

I think the problem is basically with the rubber.

@greenhorn I had gone to that tyre shop for this job, but instead he said its normal and is on most of the cars, this happens due to tyre age, and wont be a problem at all. But something in me is still not satisfied with this answer !

@Pankaj dont think all 4 tyres are defective?

Quite possible - the entire lot/batch.
