all else it is a good car and a great VFM,it will give a tough compitition to BEAT,as price is almost same with added features like keyless entry and largest boot space

I think the Mileage figures and ARAI numbers are still unknown. Even i am looking forward for the same. (well not so relevent, just see my comments bellow)

This car is absolutely VFM. Why compition only to beat? i think almost to all hatches (both petrol & deisel) this will give a challange. May be too early to say. Everyone saying Indica Vista is VFM. This looks more VMF. Now think of anyone buying an i10 Asta 5 Lkahs ex showroom, make no way value for money. We were planing a car for our parents, i10 soprts 4.35 lakhs exshowroom. Just pay 10 thousand more you get newver car with all all safety features (ABS, AIrbags and front impact beam. i read somewhre on car wale i10 doesn't have front impact beam. Not sure of implication though), either Beat or Figo. Now about the mileage, just refer the discussion on carwale figo road test report. On user comments Vivek or someone has made a point, the saving in money when you buy FIGo titatium over Ritz Zxi (forget swift or i10) will give you differnce money to fill petrol over 90000 Kms. May be the figures are exagerated, still worth a thought. there is no point in saying marutiK searies or Hyundai Kappa will give you more mileage, when you have to pay hell a lot of more money in advance. Ecnomically i am saying. Enviormatally may be it is good to have a fuel efficient engine. But i am an layman who think of my pocket than the enviormant. ( i know i am wrong)

I think Figo is a stong case to consider along with beat. Just my thought.

Yes Figo is going to be a tough contender for its class. I test drove Titanium diesel version today. Found it really good. Good drive quality, excellent rear and boot space.Found the 70PS power to be adequate. But the turbo kick is less comapred to the Ritz or i20 diesel. Only jarring note is the absence of rear power windows. But the dealers are ready to provide them at an additional cost of around Rs.3000/- . The on road price in Bangalore comes around Rs.6,37,600/- . Also a  little disappointed as the dealers, before the official price announcement, used to tell that the top end model would come under 6Lakh.

For diesel version the milege seems to be 20KM/L.

For petrol, mileage is 15.6 km/L

For Diesel, mileage is 20 km/L.

These figures include 80 % city & 20% highway driving conditions.

I am yet to see Figo on the road. It is definitely VFM.

I have a heard from a dealer that the engine oil should be synthetic (which is costlier than the normal one). Has anybody got more to add on the maintenance part ?

Figo is very good VFM. Ford should have done a lot of exercise before launching Fido in India, so the FE of the should be very good. though, experts say that the Fiat Multijet diesel is still better than Ford TDCI or the Hyndai CRDI in terms of FE.

Lets see, should Figo be a success, it will give nightmares to Maruti & TATA.

Ford should now strongly look to expand its dealers & service network in order to stay in the competition.

When one spends so much in developing a new car, selling a couple of thousand units is just not enogh.

Figo should sell in good nos. since i 20 petrol is selling around 4000 untis & Swift (Petrol & Diesel) is selling 8000 + units.

Figo should initially sell atlleast 5000 + units.

Well, i havent seen a Figo on the road yet !!

Good luck !!

Petrol mileage will be lesser than Maruti's K Series engine. I expect it to be around 12. My friend's fiesta gives him around 18 (diesel) so figo more or less should be same. I have booked Titanium Diesel and waiting for delivery.
