Respected Members,

I recently got my Fiesta 1.6 upsized from 175/65 r14 to 185/65 r14 both MRF.

But now I feel I better go for Michelin XM1+

Dealer insists on Continental

or Bridgestone Turanza or GIII

Priorities are Low noise, comfortable ride..and how much extra will I sheel out again considering I drove only 20 kms with them. :|

Regards

Frankly you became the victim of unawareness first time when you upgraded to MRF (from MRF itself, right?). Considering your preferences Michelin XM1 sounds like an apt choice. Continentals too are good tyres but Michelin would score on comfort front.

The damage should be around 3700-3800 per tyre. Try exchanging for better bargaining opportunity.

Since you have already purchased new tyres there is nothing much you can do now.If you exchage the tyres now you wont fetch good price(considering they are brand new).I think you should use them and buy michelins next time.

Wait till your tyres start giving you niggling trouble, and then change over to XM1+, more durable and better for FE.

It is not worth junking a perfectly good set just because other brand is better. You always get opportunity to change for the better after the current set wears out.

By the way, when you change after the wait, you may get even better tyres, introduced at that time.
